The Forecast Project is a self-supporting unit of the University and the College of Business and Economics. Sponsorships are solicited from firms and agencies in both the private and public sectors and are ranked according to the volume of services provided. They are identified as Gold, Silver, Gem, Corporate, Associate and Member. The Project accepts only one Gold sponsor from each industry in each region, e.g. Treasure Valley and Magic Valley. All those that begin their sponsorship in 2004-05 are identified as “Founding Sponsors”.
Sponsorship provides access to the annual forecast, quarterly updates, forecast seminars and the database. Sponsorship is also recognized in all Forecast publications with the amount of the recognition depending on the degree of sponsorship.
Monies received by the Forecast Project are used to pay the expenses of the Project. This includes reimbursements for the professional staff, assistantships for students, costs associated with the annual and quarterly publications, and the costs of the community seminars. Any residual is used by the College of Business and Economics to promote research activity of the faculty.
